CMT Premiere: Gabby Barrett Turns To Luke Combs' Songwriting Catalog for "Dance Like No One's Watching"

Josh Gicker directed the video that Gabby Barrett said brings the song to life.

Gabby Barrett leaned on Luke Combs' songwriting prowess for her song "Dance Like No One's Watching."

Combs wrote the coming-of-age song of encouragement with Emily Weisband and James McNair, and Barrett included it on her "Chapter & Verse" album that is out now.

Josh Gicker directed the clip that Barrett said brings the song to life.

"It's such a sweet montage of a woman's life – from her first dance as a child with her dad to their dance on her wedding day," she said. "I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it, and this video equally shares that feeling."

Barrett, a 24-year-old wife and mother of three, said shooting the video made her feel nostalgic.

"I haven't been to a school dance since I was much younger, so it was so neat to step back into that atmosphere," she said. "It honestly really got me excited for my little girls' future dances – I can't wait to see them all dressed up with their daddy!"

The country singer and her husband, Cade Foehner, are parents to daughters Baylah May, 3, and Ivy Josephine, three months, along with son Augustine Boone, 17 months.

"I was getting close to the birth of my third baby at that time," she said of seeing the video for the first time. "So seeing the sweet little actress 'grow up' on film got really emotional for me! I couldn't help but think of my relationship with my dad growing up, and my husband's relationship with our girls. I hope everyone loves this video as much as I do. It's a really special one."

Barrett hopes that watching the video reminds viewers of special memories from their childhoods.

"It's that little memory that you've kept close to your heart – the one that just makes you smile to look back on as you grow up," she said.
