2024 CMT Music Awards: Remembering 21 Years of Video Of The Year Winners
The 2024 CMT Music Awards will air live from LIVE from Austin, Texas’ Moody Center on Sunday, April 7 (8:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on CBS and include performances from artists including Jason Aldean, Trisha Yearwood, Lainey Wilson, Little Big Town and Sugarland, Bailey Zimmerman, Jelly Roll, Keith Urban, Cody Johnson and more.
Kelsea Ballerini will return as host – and is nominated for the night’s top honor - Video of the Year - alongside Ashley McBryde, Wilson, Jelly Roll, HARDY and Johnson. Regardless of who wins the coveted honor, it will be a new experience for the artist as none of the top nominees have captured the prize.
A deep dive into CMT Music Awards history reveals that Carrie Underwood has “blown away” the competition when it comes to collecting Video of the Year trophies over the years. With 10 wins to her credit, Underwood has taken the fan-voted prize more than any other artist. Other artists who have claimed Video of the Year multiple times include Taylor Swift, Keith Urban and Toby Keith.
Here’s a collection of the CMT Music Video Awards’ 21 winners for Video of the Year. Fan voting for the night’s most significant award is still open here.
