2023 CMT Music Awards: Kane Brown Returns to Co-Host With Kelsea Ballerini
The KBs will reunite to co-host the 2023 CMT MUSIC AWARDS, CBS and CMT announced Thursday.
Kane Brown will join the previously announced Kelsea Ballerini to host the show, which is set to air live from Moody Center in Austin, Texas, 8:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT, April 2 on CBS.
The 2023 CMT MUSIC AWARDS, country music’s only fan-voted awards show, will also be available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+.
In addition to co-hosting the show, Brown will also perform. His wife, Katelyn Brown, will join him to perform their chart-topping hit single “Thank God.” The performance will be the broadcast premiere of the single, which has more than 2012 million streams and makes them the second married couple in country music history to have a No. 1 on the Billboard and Aircheck charts.
After the 2023 CMT Music Awards, Brown will continue his television time with his acting debut on CBS’ new drama “FIRE COUNTRY.” Brown’s episode will air 9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT Friday, April 7, on CBS and will be available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+.
Brown will play Robin on the show. His character is described as an enigmatic, modern-day train hopper who helps injured patients on the scene of a crash.
The television appearances are just another achievement for the country singer who grew up on the border of Georgia and Tennessee. His 2016 self-titled debut is double platinum. Since then, he’s been named to the Time100 list of the most influential people in the world, released additional studio albums, 3 Eps, and has accumulated more than 13 billion streams.
