2024 CMT Music Awards: Six Finalists For Video Of The Year Revealed

Some of the votes are in for the 2024 CMT Music Awards, and on Monday, the network revealed the top six finalists who will compete for the award show's top prize: Video of the Year.

Nominees for the “Video of Year” Award, presented by Hilton at the 2024 CMT MUSIC AWARDS, are: Ashley McBryde - “Light On In the Kitchen”; Cody Johnson - “The Painter”; HARDY - “Truck Bed”; Jelly Roll - “Need A Favor”; Kelsea Ballerini - “IF YOU GO DOWN (I’M GOIN’ DOWN TOO); Lainey Wilson “Watermelon Moonshine.”

The 2024 CMT Music Awards will air LIVE from Austin, Texas’ Moody Center on Sunday, April 7 (8:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on CBS, and will be available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+.*

The six nominees were determined by fan voting, which will continue for the category live into show at vote.cmt.com.

None of the six finalists have previously won Video of the Year. Johnson, Jelly Roll, Ballerini and Wilson are tied with Megan Moroney for the most nominations of the night.

The top three nominees for “Video of the Year” will be announced Sunday morning. Voting will continue through the LIVE show, leading up to the reveal of the night’s biggest award.

Over the past few weeks, fans have cast their votes across all categories, including “Video of the Year,” narrowing down the list of nominees from the original list of 16 videos.

CMT will encore the 2024 CMT MUSIC AWARDS on Thursday, April 11 at 7:00 PM ET/PT.

Ballerini will also host and perform on the show. Other performers include Little Big Town with Sugarland, Trisha Yearwood, Moroney, NEEDTOBREATHE + Jordan Davis, Old Dominion, Bailey Zimmerman, Jelly Roll, Keith Urban, Wilson and Sam Hunt.
